Terms of service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms apply to the Dekmar online store and to product enquiries placed through it. Please read them before ordering and keep a copy with your order confirmation.
1. About Dekmar
The store is operated by Dekmar Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, company number SC244944. Our registered office is 1 Philorth Avenue, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, AB43 9PY, United Kingdom.
Contact us at dekmarltd@aol.com, on 07703 826353, or through our enquiry form. Visits and collections must be arranged in advance. Please contact us before sending a return so we can confirm the correct return arrangements.
2. Products and specifications
Product pages describe the item, material and available options. Recycled materials may show differences in colour, texture and finish; photographs are illustrative and screens can display colours differently. This does not affect your right to receive goods that match their description and agreed specification.
Check dimensions, quantities and suitability for your intended use before ordering. Ask us about technical or project-specific requirements. An enquiry about a product does not reserve stock or place an order.
3. Prices and payment
Store prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Consumer prices include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges and the total payable are shown before you complete an online order. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.
Products marked for enquiry or quotation do not have a confirmed selling price until we provide a written quote. A request for a quote creates no obligation to buy. For quoted orders, we will confirm the specification, price, delivery arrangements, payment requirements and any quote expiry before you commit.
4. Placing and accepting orders
Please check your order and contact details before submitting. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt of your request; it is not acceptance of the order. A contract is formed when we expressly confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods, whichever happens first.
If an item is unavailable or we identify a pricing or description error before acceptance, we will contact you with the available options. We will not charge a different price or substitute a product without your agreement. Any payment taken for an order we cannot accept will be refunded promptly.
5. Delivery and collection
Delivery options, charges and times depend on the goods, quantity and destination. Large, bulk or bespoke orders require agreed delivery arrangements. Unless we agree a different period with you, consumer goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made.
Tell us about restricted access, unloading requirements or other delivery constraints before ordering. Contact us if delivery is late or an item arrives damaged. For consumer orders, responsibility for goods normally remains with us until you or a person you nominate receives them; your statutory rights about delivery are unaffected.
6. Consumer cancellation and returns
If you buy as a consumer at a distance, you normally have the right to cancel eligible goods without giving a reason. Tell us within 14 days after the day you receive the goods (or the final item in an order delivered separately), then send them back within 14 days of telling us. You may also cancel before delivery.
Email us or use our enquiry form with your name, order details and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. The model cancellation form below is optional.
For a change-of-mind return, you pay the direct return cost. For goods that cannot normally be returned by post, we will confirm the estimated return cost before you order. Handle goods only as needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, as you would in a shop. We may make a lawful deduction for diminished value caused by handling beyond this.
For a valid cancellation, we refund the goods and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Any extra cost of a premium delivery service is not refundable. We use the original payment method unless you agree otherwise and do not charge a refund fee. Refunds are made within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier; where no goods were supplied, within 14 days of your cancellation notice.
7. Bespoke and personalised goods
The usual change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, where that legal exception applies. This is not a blanket exclusion for every item made after an order is placed. We will identify any applicable exception and confirm the specification and cancellation terms before you order. Your rights concerning faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods still apply.
8. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Contact us with your order details and a description of the problem. Photographs can help us assess it but do not replace your legal rights. Consumers are entitled to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for their agreed purpose and as described. Available remedies can include rejection and a refund, repair or replacement, depending on the circumstances. We cover reasonable return costs where we are responsible for a fault or incorrect supply.
9. Business orders and recycling services
Consumer change-of-mind rights do not apply to purchases made wholly or mainly for business purposes. Any additional business supply, collection or recycling terms will be set out in the relevant written agreement. We confirm material suitability, preparation, documentation, collection and any charges before agreeing a recycling service. Sending an enquiry does not mean your material has been accepted.
10. Website use and privacy
You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation or submit unlawful material. Website text, branding, designs and photographs belong to Dekmar or their respective rights holders. Contact us for permission before commercial reuse.
Our Privacy policy explains how personal information is handled. Third-party websites linked from this store have their own terms and privacy practices.
11. Responsibility and your rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing limits your statutory consumer rights.
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you are a consumer, any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to you where you live remain unaffected. Please contact us first if something goes wrong so we can try to resolve it.
12. Updates
We may update these terms for future orders. The version provided when your order is accepted applies to that order, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
