Recycling services

A practical next step for end-of-life fishing nets and ropes. Dekmar works with marine businesses and organisations to give suitable materials an alternative route to landfill.

Net and rope recycling in Scotland

Our process brings deconstruction, shredding and pelletising together at our Aberdeenshire site. Suitable marine plastics are prepared for a new life as recycled polymers and products.

Collection enquiries

We consider collections from most areas of Scotland, with larger collections elsewhere in the UK assessed individually.

To help us assess your material, please send:

• The type of net or rope, and polymer if known
• Approximate weight or volume
• Collection location and access details
• Photographs showing the material and its condition
• Any contamination or mixed components

Our team will confirm acceptance, preparation requirements, documentation, collection arrangements and any applicable charges before a collection is agreed.

Recycled materials for your business

We also welcome enquiries for bulk pellets, profiles and product projects using recovered marine polymers.
